About this map

Skyrim Map (skyrimmap.com) is an independent fan project. It exists because the existing interactive maps are slow, English-only, packed with ads, and stop tracking your progress after fifty markers unless you pay. This one is static, self-hosted and free, with unlimited tracking stored in your own browser.

Sources and licensing

Map imagery and location coordinates are adapted from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP), whose content is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 licence. The descriptions, category system, translations and code on this site are our own work and are offered under the same licence. Each location links back to its UESP article for the full walkthrough.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, its map, names and artwork are the property of Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Media Inc. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

How the map is built

The site is generated with Astro and served from Cloudflare's edge network. Map tiles are pre-rendered WebP images, so the map opens quickly on mobile data. Location data is a single compact file per world. We keep third-party scripts to a minimum so the map stays fast on mobile.

Report a mistake

If a marker is in the wrong place or a description is wrong, open an issue on the project's GitHub repository or correct the underlying UESP article, which flows into the next data refresh.
